Mike Haturini — Founder & Director
I grew up in Mangere, attended Onehunga High School where I discovered my passion for building. I was chosen and given a scholarship to complete my apprenticeship with the largest construction company in New Zealand — Fletchers Construction — beginning my path as a licensed builder in Auckland.
While doing my time I worked on large scale projects where I learnt how important budgets, communication and project schedules are for clients. I also learnt many valuable construction methods used all over New Zealand.
After completing my study, I worked on apartment blocks and subdivisions across Auckland where I made the decision to start my own business so that I could work intimately with clients to provide and control the quality of service and work I knew I could produce.
Communication is the key to an efficient and effective build process — and that has been the foundation of Complex Builders from day one.

Brandon Young
Brandon joined Complex Builders as an apprentice carpenter fresh out of school. Ten years on, he's one of the most trusted members of the team — a qualified carpenter who has grown into running both project management and business development for the company.
Brandon's journey through the tools gives him an edge most project managers don't have. He understands every stage of a build from the ground up — which means he anticipates problems before they happen, communicates with trades on their level and holds quality to the standard he was taught from day one.
If you're in West Auckland, there's a good chance Brandon is your first point of contact. He leads our business development across the region and brings the same commitment to client relationships that he brought to every site he's worked on.
